The version of this book that I have a copy of was published in 2005, I mention this upfront as the synopsis above mentions many things that are not in my book because Richard Branson works at such a pace he is always doing something new.

Not to take away anything from his more recent achievements. His story of success lies in the first 45 years or so of his life, when he was up against the wall and living on the edge in his business and adventures. He is a fighter and a man with an amazing ability to get out of tight spots by thinking on his feet.

This book reveals how his mum instilled in him some valuable lessons when he was young. How he pushed the limits sometimes too far being arrested twice and how he took on the big boys in British Airways when they were out to take him in down for competing in their airspace.

One of the world’s best entrepreneurs and a highly entertaining and recommended read.
